Commission competition in Bitcoin ETFs moves to Europe

The ongoing commission rate competition among spot Bitcoin ETF issuers recently listed in the USA has begun to show its impact in Europe as well. Following American issuers who reduced commission rates before the SEC's approval, similar moves came from overseas funds.

Invesco and WisdomTree, two asset managers that issue BTC investment products in Europe , have updated the terms on their crypto ETPs. WisdomTree Physical Bitcoin ETP, worth approximately $325 million, reduced the current commission rate from 0.95 percent to 0.35 percent. Another asset manager, Invesco, changed the rate from 0.99 percent to 0.40 percent in its product called Physical Bitcoin ETP.

Falling wages in the USA triggered competition

Speaking to the Financial Times , Invesco ETF manager Gary Buxton stated that fees remained high in Europe after Bitcoin funds in the US reduced fees.

Spot BTC funds listed overseas with SEC approval have great advantages over their European competitors due to the liquidity and low fees brought by high volume.
